Kareespruit is in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. The camp is 28° 35.242’S 23° 4.178’E.
The hunting areas range from flat open thornveld savannah, open grassland, rocky hills and some riverine bush.

Hunting is mainly done from March to October which tends to be cool and dry. Daytime temperatures are warm to hot, whereas at night it can get cold and a warm jacket would be needed at night. However, during the day temperatures can reach 30°C. The summer rains start in October till end of February. The land was previously used for sheep and cattle farming, but wild game has always occurred there naturally. They still have a small amount of live stock. There are no inhabitants on the land used. Kareespruit is on 2000 hectares and it has a boundary game fence.

All trophies taken are good quality and all effort is made to make the whole hunting experience a memorable one. Controlled culling hunts are also conducted and for a first time hunter in Africa, this is a good venue for the plains game.

The Lodge is purpose built with lounge, bar and dining room are separate from the accommodation. All the buildings and chalets are brick with tin roofs. All have en suite bathrooms, flush toilets, hot and cold water, constant electricity and fully air-conditioned. If there is a power failure they have a backup generator. There is also a swimming pool being built, a boma, satellite TV, mobile phone and free Wi-Fi coverage. A maximum of 6 hunters can be accommodated at any one time.

The nearest international airport is O R Thambo in Johannesburg, five & a half hours away by vehicle.
