Stories to Submit
Guidelines for Submitting Your Story to African Hunting Gazette
Greetings Dear Author,
Thank you for your submission/inquiry for publication in AHG. We strive for the magazine to consist of a balance of stories from professional writers like Terry Wieland and Joe Coogan, professional hunters, and from safari clients with a good story worth writing and worth reading.
I just say: Write the kind of story you'd like to read!
We want AHG to represent the Golden Age of Hunting Stories from Africa!
Submissions should run 2,000 words – NOT ONE WORD MORE!
Please don’t forget to include one or two interesting TITLES; your name and contact information; and a 3-line biography about who you are and your hunting experience.
Please include the name of the country, the year, and the geographical location of where the hunt took place. You are free to mention the full name of the PH and the hunting company, but we do not usually include contact information, although we always respond to readers’ requests for information “about the guy who hunts Benin.”
Please include information about the calibre and ammunition you used, why you chose it, and if you were satisfied with the performance of your equipment in the field.
IMPORTANT:
* Please run a spell-check of your text!
* PLEASE double-check the accuracy of the spelling of any brand names and manufacturers, the hunting company, area, and PH!
Accuracy in writing is as important as in shooting.
